The Econometric Society is an international society for the advancement of economic theory in its relation to statistics and mathematics. The society is holding meeting around the worlds to provide a platform for scholars to share their fruits of research and exchange ideas with outstanding scholars. This year, the Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society 2017 was hosted by Department of Economics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) from 3-5 June 2017.

The APEC Study Centre sponsored a session featuring Trade liberalization & FTA and we are honored to have invited three outstanding scholars to present their papers as follow

Georg Schaur, University of Tennessee: Endogenous Border Times

Kyle Bagwell, Stanford University: Trade Policy under Monopolistic Competition with Firm Selection

Travis Ng, The Chinese University of Hong Kong: Import Competition and Workplace Injuries in U.S. Manufacturing Industries

The lectures given by the three scholars were in great success,lots of insights on free trade were presented.
